Catholic Social Services: Catholic Social Services works, in the spirit of God’s universal love, to nurture, stabilize, and strengthen the diverse families of our community. (

Christian Counseling Center: The Christian Counseling Center aspires to relieve suffering and promote healthy relationships through excellent and accessible services to West Michigan. These services will be provided without regard to creed, color or socio-economic status by competent, well-trained clinicians who strive to faithfully integrate Christian/biblical truths with principles of psychological health. (

Fountain Hill Center: The Fountain Hill Center for Counseling and Consultation provides therapeutic, educational and consultative services designed to enhance effective personal and relational change. (

Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services: Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services is called to express the healing ministry of Jesus Christ by providing behavioral health services with professional excellence, Christian integrity, and compassion. Support groups available. (

Safe Haven Ministries: Through Christ’s love, renewing the human spirit and building a stronger community by ending the cycle of domestic abuse. (

Community Resources (General)

ACES: Association for Children for Enforcement of Support is a non-profit child support organization. We are parents whose children are entitled to support working to improve child support enforcement, educating ourselves about legal rights and remedies and promoting public awareness about the plight of affected children. (

CASA: Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) programs provide community based, grassroots child advocacy services for children who have become wards of the juvenile court due to child abuse or neglect. (

Center for Women in Transition: We are an organization located in West Michigan whose mission is to create and sustain an environment that enhances the voice and opportunities of women and girls, to encourage them to realize their potential, and in the process promote stronger individuals, families and communities. (

Connect with Kids: Connect with Kids Network, Inc., (CWKN) is a leading producer and syndicator of television, print and Internet products focusing on the health, education and well-being of children. CWKN is the first company in the nation to connect the power of television with the promise of education. Divorce is one topic addressed by this group. (

Family Independence Agency: The FIA is Michigan’s public assistance, child and family welfare agency. FIA directs the operations of public assistance and service programs through a network of over 100 county family independence agencies in every county in Michigan. (

Friend of the Court: The Friend of the Court is the collection, enforcement and investigative arm of the Circuit Court in the area of domestic relations. (

Give Back A Smile: A program of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. The Give Back A Smile program is dedicated to providing cosmetic dental care at no cost to all survivors of domestic violence. (

Good News Community: Good News Community is a large volunteer community of persons who, having experienced the trauma and hurt of broken relationships, are committed to helping others. The Good News Community has served thousands of newly divorced or suddenly single persons since 1978. We are a non-profit organization committed to serving all persons. (

Grand Rapids Community College: It is the mission of Grand Rapids Community College to provide the community with learning opportunities that enable people to achieve their goals. This site offers information about courses in computer usage, from basic keyboarding through advanced database development. (

Grand Rapids Opportunities for Women (GROW): GROW exists to provide business and economic training to women in transition. We provide women of West Michigan the education and resources that will allow then to strive towards their dream of achieving self-fulfillment and positive economic change. (

Grand Rapids YWCA: The YWCA has been a place of renewal and healing for over 100 years. Today, we offer services that respond to the issues of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child sexual abuse, as well as health fitness programs that help families grow strong in body and mind and empowerment programs that allow girls to realize their potential. (

Life Guidance Services: Life Guidance Services is a 110-year-old non-profit organization specializing in confidential outpatient mental health and substance abuse assessment and treatment services. Our mission is to enhance the ability of people to live their lives to the fullest; to strengthen the health and functioning of individuals, families and communities through inclusive, integrative and innovative behavioral healthcare. Love and Logic: The Love and Logic Institute, Inc. is dedicated to providing practical, quality training in the areas of behavior management, classroom management, and student achievement. The Love and Logic Institute, Inc. holds conferences and seminars for parents and professionals interested in raising responsible children.
